Oswego County Recognizes National Pre-Trial Probation Supervision Week
OSWEGO – The Oswego County Legislature proclaimed July 21 through 27 National Pre-trial Probation Supervision Week. The Legislature’s Public Safety Committee presented a certificate to Oswego County Probation Director David Hall at its July meeting. The week serves to recognize the hard work that probation professionals do to uphold the law and protect our communities. July 26th Proclaimed the Anniversary of the American Disability Act by Mayor Corradino
OSWEGO – Mayor Corradino has proclaimed July 26th, 2024, the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act and encourages all Oswego residents to “observe this day to celebrate this defining moment in civil rights law.” The law was signed in 1990, and this landmark legislation prohibits discrimination against disabled citizens and ensures equal opportunity in work and housing.

OSWEGO – The Oswego County Legislature proclaimed July 26 as Americans with Disabilities Awareness Day in celebration of the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The Legislature’s Health Committee presented the certificate to members of Oswego ARISE. The group works to promote education about advocacy, resources and services available to county residents while ensuring that the rights of individuals with disabilities are acknowledged and protected.
