    Larimore man seriously injured in Grand Forks crash

    GRAND FORKS, ND ( KXNET ) — A 32-year-old man from Larimore has been rushed to the hospital after an accident on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 9, and may soon be facing charges.

    According to a press release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, at approximately 4:03 p.m., a Ford LT8000 was traveling eastbound on US Highway 2 (roughly three miles east of Emerado) in the right lane and slowed down to prepare for a right turn. A Chevrolet Silverado traveling in the same lane then struck the Ford’s rear end before coming to rest in the median ditch facing southwest.

    The driver of the Silverado (the man from Larimore) was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and sustained serious injuries. He was transported by ambulance to Altru Hospital.

    The Ford came to rest in the right lane of travel facing east. The driver was uninjured.

    The crash currently remains under investigation.
