Amtrak train strikes person on track near town of Granby
On July 21, a person on the train tracks near Granby was struck by an Amtrak train at approximately 11 a.m. According to senior director of Amtrak’s public relations, Christina Leeds, the person had trespassed onto the track, about two miles west of the town of Granby. The #5 train, known as the California Zephyr, was unable to stop in time, hitting the person on the tracks.

Incessant target practice in a small Colorado community has neighbors there up in arms, claiming their government leaders have been brushing off serious risks for years.
