Serious injury accident at intersection of Pokegama Ave South and 21st St

At 5:57 P.M. on June 27, 2024, Grand Rapids Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Grand Rapids Fire Department, and North Memorial Ambulance were dispatched to a serious injury accident at the intersection of Pokegama Ave South and 21st St. Law enforcement arrived to find the accident involved a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. First responders provided immediate medical care to all individuals involved. Highway 169 / Pokegama Ave South traffic was rerouted as a LifeLink helicopter landed for emergency medical transport.

We recognize and thank the numerous area agencies that provided resources to this event.

With this happening on a state highway, Minnesota State Patrol is currently conducting the investigation on this open case.
