    Grandview PD searching for suspect in deadly shooting of 19-year-old

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Grandview Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one teenager dead Wednesday, July 24, in the backyard of a home.

    According to GPD, officers were dispatched to an area near the intersection of E 119th Street and Delmar Drive in Grandview, Mo. at about 9:40 p.m.

    Upon arrival, GPD said officers found a man, 19-year-old Derrick Judie Jr., unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds in the backyard of a home.

    Police said he was taken to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.

    According to GPD, there are no suspects at this time, and the Metro Squad has been called to help with the investigation.
