U.S. Senate Commerce Committee Ranking Member Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas), and Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) are leading a bipartisan, bicameral coalition of Texas lawmakers in urging Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg to allocate San Antonio International Airport (SAT) one of the new long-haul, round-trip flights to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). The recent FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024, which Sen. Cruz co-authored as the ranking member of the Senate Commerce Committee and was signed into law, secured five new round-trip flights to and from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) from locations previously excluded from direct flights. The Department of Transportation recently announced the application procedures for the eligible airlines and will award slots for new service this summer.

Following her culinary education at the Art Institute of Dallas, Winkler did a stint training at Walt Disney World before moving to a variety of culinary leaders. In North Texas, she’s also served as a Corporate Chef for Lombardi Family Concepts and as Executive Chef at Happiest Hour.

Pyrotecnico Takes Blame For Sulphur Springs Fireworks Failure
July 2, 2024 – In a letter dated July 2, 2024 Regional Director Justin Pruett for Pyrotecnico, the fireworks provider for the Independence Day Concert on June 29th, took responsibility for the failure experienced by those in attendance for the sub-standard show. The letter further stated that the fireworks show that they delivered was not in accordance with the expectations fo the Sulphur Springs Symphony League, who has worked with this particular fireworks company since 2016. Justin Pruett indicated that he and his company have offered a “replacement show” at no charge as well as crediting the charge for last week’s show.
