GRANITE CITY, Il. (KMOX) - Granite City Police Department is investigating a shots fired incident after a suspect fired shots at a victim's car in the parking lot of a Burger King.

Police say the incident took place on Tuesday, July 16, with officers responding to a call of shots fired at the Burger King on 3406 Nameoki Road at around 6:16 pm.

The victim and several witnesses tell officers that the suspect was involved in what appeared to a road rage incident. The suspect would pursue the victim in his car into the Burger King Parking Lot and fired a gun at least once at the vehicle of the victim.

Granite City Police say no one was struck and no injuries were reported.

The suspect fled the area in their vehicle and this case is still currently under investigation. Granite City Police says the incident appears to be isolated and there is no immediate danger of reoccurrence.
