“Could Be Glen Campbell Reincarnated”: Charles Wesley Godwin Takes Over Late Night With Special “Family Ties” Performance
Although seeking a career in football, life had other plans for Charles Wesley Godwin while he attended West Virginia University. Attending the college for finance, the country singer learned to play the guitar. But it went far beyond the guitar as he also practiced a great deal of songwriting. Drawing influence from singers like Willie Nelson, Chris Knight, and Kris Kristofferson, it was only a matter of time before Godwin found his way to the stage. And recently, he took over late-night television with a performance of “Family Ties.”

WVU's tall task: Finding physicality to supplement shortcomings
Even if the roster changes between now and the team's departure for Italy on Wednesday or even before the start of the regular season on Nov. 4, West Virginia will most likely be undersized and understaffed in the middle of the paint. The Mountaineers have Eduardo Andre and Amani Hansberry ... and that's it. That might change, but that still might be it.
West Virginia football transfer portal tracker
The transfer portal has become a hot topic across the realm of college football and that has been no different at West Virginia. Several players have inserted their names into the portal, which is a database that allows other schools to contact them regarding a transfer, and WVSports.com will track it. It's important to note that because a player is listed in the portal does not mean that they have to transfer out of the program, just that schools can contact them.

WVU fall camp preview: Offensive Line
It's about that time again, which is crazy because it feels like just yesterday I was writing the spring camp previews. Back then, football preparation was taking a backseat to the pending basketball coaching search. This time around, fall camp will be in the spotlight of the WVU sports world. Today we continue the position-by-position preview for preseason camp. The Mountaineers went 9-4 last season, including beating up on UNC in a bowl game that ended with Neal Brown being covered in mayonnaise. West Virginia football enters the 2024 season with significant wind in its sails, so fall camp should be particularly interesting to watch next month. At this current time, there is no media access schedule.

Previewing Mountaineers in the NFC Conference
Eight NFL veterans will be representing WVU during the 2024 NFL season. Stills was selected in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. During his rookie season, the defensive tackle made the most of the 15 games he appeared in. 47 combined tackles, 3.5 sacks and five tackles for loss combined for a rookie season that exceeded expectations for the low draft pick. While he isn’t a full fledged starter yet, expect Stills to make an impact for the Cardinals’ defensive line in his sophomore season.
