Body of 60-year-old man who dove off boat in Lake Grapevine is found

GRAPEVINE – The body of a 60-year-old man who dove into Lake Grapevine over the weekend has been found after a days-long search.

The man was reported missing Sunday just after 7 p.m. Texas Parks and Wildlife Department said the man's body was recovered around 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The Grapevine Fire Department said the man was with another person when he dove into the water and did not make it back on the boat. Investigators believe the man was not wearing a life jacket.

The Grapevine and Flower Mound fire departments as well as Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens conducted sonar searches until sunset on Sunday and resumed searching on Monday into Tuesday.

"Our thoughts are with the man's family and loved ones during this difficult time," TPWD said.
