Inmate Accused of Attacking Another Inmate
Brian Nicholas Bowers, 21, of Stonecrest, is accused of grabbing another inmate at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center and slamming him on the concrete on July 10 at 9:05 p.m. The victim landed on his back and neck, which caused him to have a seizure. The victim had blood on the inside of his mouth and lips, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office. Bowers is charged with aggravated battery deprive; and unlawful acts of violence in penal institution. Bowers remains in custody without bond and is on a hold from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Lawrenceville house fire believed to be caused by arson, firefighters say
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A Lawrenceville house was badly damaged by fire Saturday night in what Gwinnett County officials believe to be an arson case. Near 9 p.m., a neighbor called 911 to report the fire in the 3000 block of Iron Gate Court.
