Business Showcase returning for Great Bend area teachers
The Great Bend Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with USD 428, will host the 9th Annual Great Bend Business Showcase. This teacher appreciation event will take place Thursday, Aug. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Panther Activity Center (PAC) at Great Bend High School and will be open to 700+ educators and staff.

Hoisington's Ball looks to soar high for FHSU
Life, as recent Hoisington High graduate Josiah Ball says, is about getting better for yourself and God. “I am a person who would do anything to see a teammate or classmate succeed. I’m always there to assist and help others achieve their goals,” Ball said. “Every day, I strive to get at least 1% better as a person, athlete and man of God.”
Family’s 4 generations of workers at Barton Community College
Barton Community College administrative staff enjoys seeing former graduates or local citizens come back to Great Bend to work at the college. When the Board of Trustees approved the personnel report last Tuesday, not only did they hire an alum with Kaitlin Sill, but they also continued a now four-generation legacy.
