Packers Ex Aaron Jones Endears Himself to Vikings Faithful With SKOL Chant

The NFL is a brutal business, and former Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones has discovered that as the league's free agency period began.

Seemingly a staple of the Packers' offense, Jones was quickly released by the franchise after the signing of Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs.

It didn't take long for Jones to find a new NFL home, and in what has become a regular occurrence this offseason, players have moved to a direct rival within the division.

This happened to Jones as he signed a one-year, $7 million deal with the Packers' fierce rivals in the Minnesota Vikings, and he will now face his former team twice a year.

At his introductory press conference, Jones wasted no time in endearing himself to his new fanbase.

Having played seven seasons with Green Bay and rushed for 5,940 and 45 touchdowns in 95 games, Jones is now a member of the Packers' heated rivals.

He will be part of Kevin O'Connell's offense, which many hope will include star receiver Justin Jefferson, who is hoping to get a market-setting new contract.

With Kirk Cousins already out the door, speculation is rife that the Vikings might take a quarterback in the draft, despite Sam Darnold inking a one-year deal after backing up Brock Purdy for the San Francisco 49ers.

Jones will be part of an offense with serious weapons, and when the time comes to play the Packers, we imagine that he will have extra pep as it will be the first time in his career that he has to play against his former team.
