NFL Writer Shares Bold Prediction For Packers Jordan Morgan

With their first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, No. 25 overall, the Green Bay Packers selected Arizona offensive lineman Jordan Morgan. Morgan logged a majority of his snaps the last few seasons at left tackle for the Wildcats, but there are questions about where he will play at the next level.

Jordan Morgan has less than ideal arm length for a tackle, which has led to man evaluators believing he will move to the interior of the Packers’ offensive line. Green Bay does have a need at guard after Jon Runyan Jr. left in free agency and signed with the New York Giants, so Morgan could be deployed there.

However, at the start of offseason workouts during rookie minicamp, Morgan was playing left tackle. He will have to earn the starting spot there, as he will be competing against Rasheed Walker, who filled in at left tackle for David Bakhtiari last season.

The Green Bay Packers believe that Jordan Morgan has the ability to play four different spots along the offensive line. That versatility will be key because they are going to play their five best guys. How they will be aligned is anyone’s guess at this point, but Morgan will likely be out there.

And, in the opinion of sports analytic writer Seth Walder of ESPN, Morgan is going to play well. In a recent article making predictions about the 2024 rookie class, Walder shared a bold one for the Arizona product.

“Packers offensive tackle Jordan Morgan will rank in the top 10 in pass block win rate in a season and reach the Pro Bowl at some point in his rookie contract. Morgan ranked in the top 10 in pass protection last year and top 20 the year prior, per Pro Football Focus. And the Packers almost always seem to get the most from their offensive linemen to the point where I think it may not be a coincidence,” Walder wrote.

There may not be a team in the NFL that develops and gets the most out of offensive linemen than the Green Bay Packers. Regardless of their draft pedigree, they find a way to get the guys to produce on the field.

Whether it is at tackle or guard, the Packers will find a spot for Jordan Morgan in the starting lineup as long as he earns it. With multiple spots potentially up for grabs, it would be a minor upset if he didn’t earn one of them.
