The 2024 regular season schedule for the Green Bay Packers will be a daunting one. They are facing some very good teams, as finding a weak point in the schedule currently is not easy. Based on winning percentages from last season, the Packers are facing the fourth most difficult set of games this season.

The number of standalone and prime-time games the Green Bay Packers have creates a unique challenge. They open the season in Week 1 on a Friday playing in Brazil against the Philadelphia Eagles.

From Week 13-16, they play on Thursday night for two straight weeks and then Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football. In a 12-day stretch, they play on the road at the Chicago Bears before hosting the San Francisco 49ers and Miami Dolphins.

It will be interesting to see how head coach Matt LaFleur handles some of the challenges of this schedule. But, there is one major takeaway from their 2024 regular season; they will have a big rest advantage compared to their opponents.

As shared by Warren Sharp on X, the Packers will have a net rest edge of +8 this season. That is the fifth highest in the NFL, behind the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings and Eagles. The Ravens are at +16, while the other three teams are tied at +12.

That is certainly something that the Green Bay Packers can use to their advantage throughout the season. Teams need any edge they can find and the NFL has built one in for the green and gold, as they will be well-rested compared to their opponents more often than not.

Another thing in their favor is that Green Bay has consecutive road games only twice. But, it happens to be during that stretch of prime-time games, as they will play in Detroit on Thursday and in Seattle the following week for Sunday Night Football. That allows for plenty of time to rest and adjust to the time zone change.
