Packers Jordan Love Picked as 2024 Breakout Star

Bleacher Report recently named some breakout stars who could be even better in 2024. For the Green Bay Packers, they spoke highly of Jordan Love.

As we get into the summer before the 2024 NFL season for the Green Bay Packers, expectations for the team are fairly high. After looking like one of the best teams in the entire NFL in the second half of the season, and nearly taking out the San Francisco 49ers in the playoffs, the Packers will not be taken lightly in 2024.

One of the reasons for the big turnaround for the Packers last season was the performance of Jordan Love. Love had a great first season as a starter in the NFL and became a breakout star for Green Bay. Last season, Love totaled 4,159 passing yards, 32 passing touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

It was an excellent first season as the starting quarterback for the Packers, as the decision to move on from Aaron Rodgers looked like a wise one with Love’s performance. Recently, Bleacher Report spoke about Love as a player who could be even in 2024. Here’s what they had to say.

Sophomore slumps are common in the NFL, but fans shouldn’t expect one from Love. For starters, he’ll enter 2024 with a full year of starting experience, meaning he’ll better grasp the offense and his preseason preparation.

Secondly, Love only began building chemistry with young pass-catchers like Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, Tucker Kroft, and Luke Musgrave down the stretch. Their rapport should be stronger by the end of training camp, meaning Love and the Packers will hit the ground running.

While they do mention the sophomore slump, Love should be clear of that with his extra time sitting behind Rodgers. If Love avoids the slow start, we could easily be looking at a season from Love with 4,500 passing yards and 40 passing touchdowns.

There are many reasons why Love can improve in his second full season as a starter, as he showed no signs of regression last season. If Jordan Love improves, he could be in the MVP conversation as a quarterback on a projected playoff team. While we still have a ways to go before the start of the season, projecting what Love could be in 2024 is very exciting.
