There is a lot of buzz surrounding the Green Bay Packers as we get closer and closer to training camp. With mandatory minicamps around the NFL starting up last week, we are getting the first look at what lineups teams could deploy once games start to count.

For the Green Bay Packers, there are a few question marks that remain on the roster. Depth at a few positions, such as cornerback and quarterback, have been under the microscope. But, in the opinion of Matt Holder of Bleacher Report, it is the offensive line that remains the team’s biggest question after OTAs.

Specifically, what will the starting lineup look like? Protecting starting quarterback Jordan Love is paramount to this unit reaching the levels they are capable of. As Holder noted, there are still several questions about what that unit will look like.

“The Packers have a lot of questions up front, and rumors have swirled this offseason that Zach Tom might move to center while Rasheed Walker and first-round pick Jordan Morgan bookend the unit at tackle. However, The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman reported that Morgan was working at left guard with the starters since Elgton Jenkins was absent.

Schneidman also noted that Tom is still sidelined with a pec injury, so Walker and Andre Dillard have been taking reps at tackle, creating more confusion about Green Bay’s offensive line. Additionally, Zach Kruse of Packers Wire wrote that the team believes Morgan can play four positions.

In other words, the Cheeseheads are very fluid in the trenches,” wrote Holder.

The only player who is locked into a starting position is Elgton Jenkins at left guard. When Week 1 rolls around, as long as he is healthy, he will be in that spot. Zach Tom will also be in the starting lineup, but at which position is anyone’s guess.

He spent 2023 at right tackle, but rumors have swirled the Green Bay Packers could move him inside to center, replacing Josh Myers. Right guard is open after Jon Runyan Jr. left in free agency and signed with the New York Giants.

Based on the reports Holder shared, this isn’t a decision that is going to be made any time soon. The Packers are going to do their due diligence, trying out different combinations until they find one that they like.

But, one thing is for sure. The five best guys are going to be out there come Week 1. Guessing who that will be at this point is difficult, but the Packers have some excellent depth to work with figuring that out.
