Green Bay Packers second-year tight end Luke Musgrave is one of the many young players to keep an eye out for during the 2024 season.

There isn’t a team in the NFL that has a younger group of pass catchers than the Green Bay Packers. Tyler Davis is the only tight end or wide receiver on the roster who has more than two years of NFL experience under his belt.

Having a roster that young could mean some hiccups along the way, which the Packers experienced early in 2023. But, once the youngsters found their groove and gained confidence, things started to click.

The upside for the Green Bay offense in 2024 is immense. If they can figure out the right offensive line combination to keep Jordan Love upright, the team will be one of the most explosive units in the league.

One of the players to keep an eye on as a breakout candidate is tight end Luke Musgrave. He was selected by Gordon McGuinness of PFF as one of the members of the All-Break Out team for the 2024 season.

“You could make the case here for either second-year Packers tight end. Musgrave dropped just one of the 41 catchable passes thrown his way in 2023 and finished his rookie season with three straight 70.0-plus PFF receiving grades,” McGuinness wrote.

Luke Musgrave was selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Oregon State. A freak athlete, he struggled to stay healthy in college, which limited the production he had with the Beavers.

Unfortunately for the Packers, he missed six games as a rookie dealing with an abdominal strain that landed him on injured reserve. That injury is a major reason that he is part of the All-Break Out Team in 2024.

Not yet a household name, the Oregon State product could very well become one in 2024. He caught 34 passes as a rookie for 352 yards and one score, looking more than capable as a rookie.

The other rookie that McGuinness makes mention of in his blurb is Tucker Kraft. Selected in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of South Dakota State, he was just as productive as Musgrave.

In 17 games, he caught 31 passes for 355 yards and two touchdowns, stepping up when injuries occurred. The future is bright for the Packers at the tight end spot with two versatile, talented players atop the depth chart.
