Green Bay Packers legend and current New York Jets wide receiver Randall Cobb is lucky to be alive. He and his family narrowly avoided being a part of a tragedy late Tuesday night when their house caught on fire. Not a lot of information is known about the incident as of right now, besides the update that Randall's wife Aiyda posted onto her Instagram story. Randall and Aiyda have been married since 2017 and share three kids, with their youngest being born just this past March. According to Aiyda's update, they all made it out as the fire engulfed the Nashville home (with just the clothes on their backs), and the flames were allegedly sparked by a Tesla charger that was installed in their garage:
"We are lucky to be alive. The Tesla charger caught on fire in the garage late last night and quickly spread. We got out of the house with nothing but the clothes on our backs and no shoes on our feet. I'll explain more later, but posting this in case I miss any appointments, calls, texts, or meetings. Thank you GOD." https://twitter.com/KyleMalzhan/status/1805965357749830077?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1805965357749830077%7Ctwgr%5Ef67933199b0522862f182223c5866b9f68f060dc%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwisportsheroics.com%2Fgreen-bay-packers-news-randall-cobb-fire-nfl-news%2F Randall Cobb, a Tennessee native, moved himself and his family to the Nashville area in 2022. He grew up in Maryville, just outside of Knoxville. Prayers up for the Cobb family though. Based upon that post from Cobb's wife Aiyda, it sounds like they lost their entire home in the tragedy. Things can be replaced, lives cannot, so at the very least, there's a silver lining that their entire family made it out of the house fire.
