The Las Vegas Raiders have a drastically different running back room in 2024 than we thought there would be. Sure, Zamir White is still there after being there the last few years. But, the Raiders no longer have one of their best running backs in the history of the franchise. You can say whatever you want about him, but Josh Jacobs is one of the best to ever tote the rock wearing silver and black. Just look at the history books.

So, when he decided not to return to the Raiders this season , it stunned a lot of people. A lot of fans were upset. He was a lot of fans' favorite player. Now, he's a former player, who for some reason has continued to take shots at the team, whether it be subliminally, or in responses to Raiders fans. Now, some of it may be warranted, as we really don't know what went down between him and the franchise, but it's clear that the two sides didn't see eye to eye on something.

If they did, Jacobs wouldn't continue to throw subtle digs at the Raiders, like he just did once again on NFL Network.

"Honestly, normally I never set goals," Jacobs said on NFL Network. "I tend to be the person that takes everything on a day-to-day basis. And I work on a day-to-day basis, and the results of that will be what you see, and that would be the goal, or whatever.

"But this year, man, I can honestly say as I'm getting older and playing longer, I have a real goal of legacy. I think that that's a big thing. You know, wanting to play important games, play in the playoffs, make a deep run, and play in that game if we get there. That's big for me."

The dig is right there - he never had goals before, but now that he's on a new franchise, one that made the playoffs last season, he all of a sudden has goals to make the playoffs and play in playoff games. During his short NFL career so far, the 26-year-old has played in just one playoff game, which came against the Cincinnati Bengals a few years ago.

The Raiders have not won a playoff game in 21 years, so for him to have that goal on a new team is certainly a dig. But, hey, let the players on the team hear this message. Do you think that won't fire them up? This roster and this team have the potential to prove Jacobs wrong - that he should have stayed for the long run.

He talked about legacy, but his legacy is going to be remembered for what he did in the silver and black, and that he went to the Packers. Not for what he's going to do with the Packers.
