CBS Sports recently ranked the Top 25 players 25 and under. For the Green Bay Packers, Jordan Love made the list.
Having young talent in the NFL is so huge and we usually see in the offseason players who are 25 years old and younger ranked as the next stars of the game. The Green Bay Packers were fortunate enough to have their quarterback Jordan Love ranked 11th on the list.
Seeing Love on the list is very encouraging after just one season as the starting quarterback for the Packers. In 2023, Jordan Love was one of the best quarterbacks in the second half of the season and that was enough to earn him a spot on the list.
Too high considering Love has maybe a half-season of top-10 production under his belt? Perhaps. But his gun-slinging was easily the biggest reason the Packers made a surprise playoff push in 2023. He’s just finding his footing coming off a 30-touchdown debut as the top dog, and you can’t teach that arm talent.
At the most important position on the field, a 30-touchdown season certainly has earned Love a spot on the list. As we get ready for the 2024 season, Love is a player who could be taking a big step forward.
With Love being a potential MVP candidate, he could quickly rise on this list as the season goes on. However, with just one season under his belt, the 11th spot feels like a fair place for Love.
Furthermore, the Packers will have to see the No.1 player on the list, Justin Jefferson, two times this coming season. The Minnesota Vikings star was named the best player in the league who is 25 years old and younger.
While Jordan ove is still very young, he is also unproven in the league with just one season as a starter on his belt. Hopefully, another strong season from Love will solidify him as one of the top quarterbacks in the league.
