With the start of the NFL season getting closer, could Green Bay Packers edge rusher, Rashan Gary, make his first All-Pro team?

As we get closer to the start of the 2024 season for the Green Bay Packers, there is a lot of excitement surrounding what this team could accomplish this coming season. With a lot of young talented players, the Packers are projected to take a step forward this season, and if they do so, will be making some noise in the NFC.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Packers have a new defensive coordinator who is looking to be aggressive which could result in some impact plays for the defense. Recently, Rashan Gary was named as a player who could make his first All-Pro team.

Here’s what PackersTalk.com had to say about Gary.

Rashan Gary is coming off a 60-pressure, 9-sack season in 2023. He recorded three sacks against the Lions’ elite offensive line on Thanksgiving. Gary has the second-best pass rush snaps-to-pressure ratio from his draft class, trailing only Nick Bosa.

Just like Kenny Clark, Rashan Gary will benefit from a more aggressive scheme. Jeff Hafley wants his defense to attack both the ball and the line of scrimmage. Gary can line up both inside and outside. Although he has mostly played on the edge in Green Bay, he lined up inside frequently at Michigan. This versatility gives Hafley plenty of looks to work with. The unpredictability of Gary’s usage should give him an advantage and a tool to compete for All-Pro honors.

As arguably the best pass-rusher on the team, Gary should be looking forward to having a more aggressive blitzing scheme. With his ability to move around on the defensive line, the Michigan product is already a unique talent for the Packers.

If Gary is utilized more in an aggressive pass-rusher scheme, we could see his numbers really take a jump, as his analytics are very strong. If Gary has a jump in production, he certainly could become an All-Pro player for the Packers.
