Former Georgia Bulldog and current free agent quarterback Jake Fromm could find a new home before the 2024 NFL season kicks off.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport , Fromm worked out for the Green Bay Packers on Friday .

Fromm, 25, was originally a fifth-round pick by the Buffalo Bills back in 2020. He’s also spent time with the New York Giants and Washington Commanders.

He appeared in three games with two starts for the Giants in 2021 but has not played a regular-season game since then. Through those two appearances, Fromm completed 27 of 60 passes for 210 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions.

Before entering the NFL, Fromm was a three-year starter for the Bulldogs. As a true freshman in 2017, he took over for the injured Jacob Eason and led the Dawgs to an SEC Championship, Rose Bowl victory, and National Championship berth.

Under Fromm, Georiga went to three straight SEC championships and won the Sugar Bowl in 2019. His 8,224 career passing yards rank fourth while his 78 touchdowns rank second in Georgia program history.

The Packers currently have Sean Clifford and Michael Pratt as backups on their roster behind starting quarterback Jordan Love , but if Fromm is signed to a deal and has a strong showing through training camp, then he could find himself on the practice squad.

Green Bay's veterans and rookies officially report to training camp on July 23.
