REPORT: Packers quarterback Jordan Love won’t practice until new deal gets done

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – As training camp kicks off in Titletown, it appears the Packers leader on the field, quarterback Jordan Love, will not be practicing until a new contract is reached between himself and the team.

As first reported by the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport , Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst spoke to reporters and said that Love will not practice until a new deal gets done.

Gutekunst reportedly added that he is “optimistic” about getting a deal with Love done within the next few days.

Until the new deal is done, Love’s agents allegedly told the GM that Love will not be on the field practicing.

In 2023, Jordan Love led the Green Bay Packers to the Divisional round of the NFL playoffs in his first season as the team’s starting quarterback.

The team ended the year with a record of 9-8 and he finished the season with 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
