The largest deal for a quarterback in NFL history was agreed to Friday.

Jordan Love reached an agreement with the Packers on a four-year, $220M contract extension, which makes him the highest-paid quarterback in the league’s history, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

He will also get a $75 million signing bonus, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport .

The lucrative deal averages out to $55M per year, tying him with Jacksonville’s Trevor Lawrence , who signed in June.

His deal matched Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow .

NFC North predictions, odds: Vikings will struggle in 2024

The offer — which keeps him under team control through the 2028 season — means Love can join his teammates on the field after previously electing to sit out training camp until a deal was consummated.

The 25-year-old got the megadeal despite only starting for one season.

The emerging superstar had a sluggish start to the 2023 season.

Through his first nine starts, he threw 14 touchdowns with 10 interceptions while the Packers went 3-6 with him spearheading the offense.

Love erupted during the back half of the season, eventually finishing with 4,159 pasing yards, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Only Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott threw for more touchdowns (36).

Love became the fifth player in NFL history to throw for more than 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns in a season.

The signal-caller entered the league following a strong collegiate career at Utah State University, where he ranks No. 1 in program history with 9,003 yards of total offense and 12 career 300-yard passing games.

His performances were eye-catching, and the Packers snagged him with the 26th pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

The deal comes on the same day the Dolphins locked up Tua Tagovailoa to a four-year, $212.4 million extension .
