Aaron Rodgers’ Perfect Advice For Jordan Love After Signing Massive Contract

It's no secret that Aaron Rodgers' relationship with the Green Bay Packers was forever fractured by the team's decision to select his successor under center in the 2020 NFL draft.

Now that he's chasing a Super Bowl with the New York Jets, though, Rodgers has no qualms about the success Jordan Love continues to enjoy with his former team.

After Love put pen to paper on new contract that makes him the highest-paid player in NFL history, Rodgers even gave his young former teammate some special—as well as self-serving—advice.

"First of all, since you mentioned it, I wanna give a shoutout to Jordan Love becoming the highest-paid player in the NFL," Rodgers said Saturday on NFL Network. "J-Love, don’t spend it all in one place, but if you do I still have a house in Green Bay that’s up for sale."

Love and the Packers agreed to a record-setting four-year, $220 million deal on Friday night that includes a whopping $75 million signing bonus.

While such a massive payout could be considered a risk for Green Bay given Love has only been a full-time starter for one season, his eyebrow-raising play in 2023 warranted the Packers committing to him as their franchise quarterback.

Love threw for 4,159 yards and 32 touchdowns against 11 interceptions last season, staking his claim as one of the league's best young signal-callers.

Rodgers, meanwhile, is entering his second go-around with New York in 2024 after his highly anticipated debut campaign was ruined when he suffered a ruptured Achilles in the season opener.
