Former Packers Star Makes Bold Prediction For Jordan Love

Spirits are high at Green Bay Packers camp now that quarterback Jordan Love has agreed to an extension. Prior to signing his record-setting deal, the Utah State product was having a hold-in at training camp.

Jordan Love reported on time and took part in everything he needed to do, but was not participating in practice. That changed over the weekend when he signed an extension that ties him with Trevor Lawrence of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals as the highest-paid players in the NFL.

With the contract situation behind the team, the focus can turn to the football field. Expectations are on the rise for the Packers after the incredible second half they put together last season.

With Jordan Love’s level of performance skyrocketing, the Packers took off. They finished the regular season 6-2, earning the No. 7 seed in the NFC for the postseason.

They made history in the playoffs, becoming the first No. 7 seed to advance after dismantling the Dallas Cowboys 48-32. Green Bay lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round but gave the eventual NFC Champions all they could handle.

With so much promise and potential, people believe that the Packers are the next big thing in the NFC. One of those people is former Green Bay wide receiver turned analyst James Jones.

During a recent segment of Speak on FS1, he shared a bold prediction for Jordan Love and the Packers. Jones believes that a trip to the Super Bowl will occur at some point in the duration of his contract extension.

Jones certainly isn’t the only analyst or fan that feels that way. With Jordan Love’s ascension in the second half of the season, the Packers look like they could have one of the most explosive offensive units in the NFL in 2024.

Combine that with a defense that is on the rise under Jeff Hafley, and Green Bay has the makings of a sustainable contender. This is a team only scratching the surface of their potential as head coach Matt LaFleur and general manager Brian Gutekunst have done a wonderful job keeping the team on track post-Aaron Rodgers.
