Packers quarterback Jordan Love beats Aaron Rodgers in NFL Top 100 ranking

After Aaron Rodgers left the Green Bay Packers in 2022, fans weren't sure what would happen to the legendary team. Now, it seems like they're in good hands with quarterback Jordan Love.

Although he had a slow start to the season, Love eventually became one of the most talked about quarterbacks in the NFL, throwing for 4,159 yards and 32 touchdowns while leading Green Bay to a victory over the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs.

This has built confidence in the Packers organization, making Love one of the highest-paid players in NFL history . And it looks like Love's peers agree with this decision .

According to the players of the NFL, Love has been ranked at No. 34  in NFL.com's Top 100 Players of 2024 . That's ahead of the Cincinnati Bengals' Joe Burrow (No. 39), the Miami Dolphins Tua Tagavailoa (No. 36), and the Detroit Lions' Jared Goff (No. 48).

"It wasn’t pretty immediately, but the end result of Love’s first season as a starter suggests Green Bay has miraculously hit on a third straight franchise quarterback," Bobby Kownack said.

From Week 11 through the Divisional Round, Love threw for 2,616 yards, 23 touchdowns, and three interceptions, rallying the Packers to a postseason berth and delivering a shocking demolition of the Cowboys on Super Wild Card Weekend during that span."

Love drastically beat former Packers QB and four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers , who now plays for the New York Jets. After having to sit out the 2023 season due to injury, Rodgers dropped from 51st to 92nd .

This season, both stars have something to prove. Rodgers wants to show that he still has plenty left in the tank, and Love wants to prove that he deserves the mantle of Packers QB.
