False report of gun prompted police presence on Lawn Avenue
Albany Police have released more details about an incident on Lawn Avenue on Tuesday that prompted a large response. The incident happened at around 4 p.m. Police received a call from a women having a mental health crisis. She stated that there was a man in the street with a gun, Albany Police spokeswoman Megan Craft said.

Driving back from Vermont a week ago for a short trip, we stopped on the New York State Thruway to fill up and grab a coffee. As per usual on a Summer Sunday, the highway was crowded with traffic, mostly families trying to get back to Jersey to prepare for the coming work week. It was early so the crowds weren't too bad for us, but the lines at the other storefronts were starting to grow.

The New York State Thruway Authority (NYSTA) currently has 27 service areas along the 500+ miles of controlled-access toll roads.
