Troy — An after school education center in Troy could be forced to close as soon as this fall, saying their State Grant funding will not be renewed. The Ark, located in North Central Troy, serves 55 families right now, and for the last 10 years, 95 percent of its budget has come from State Grant money. False report of gun prompted police presence on Lawn Avenue
Albany Police have released more details about an incident on Lawn Avenue on Tuesday that prompted a large response. The incident happened at around 4 p.m. Police received a call from a women having a mental health crisis. Driving back from Vermont a week ago for a short trip, we stopped on the New York State Thruway to fill up and grab a coffee. As per usual on a Summer Sunday, the highway was crowded with traffic, mostly families trying to get back to Jersey to prepare for the coming work week.
