Hawkeyes Earn AVCA Team Academic Award
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa volleyball program earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, the organization announced on Wednesday. The Hawkeyes have been recognized for this honor twice, previously in 2014. To obtain the honor, the team must maintain a year-long GPA of at least 3.30. The Hawkeyes held a 3.52 GPA throughout the year. A record number of schools earned the award this season, with over 1,400 collegiate and high school volleyball programs showcasing their excellence in the classroom.
