Boone County Fair implements new security measures after ‘incident with youth’
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) The Boone County Fair announced in a Thursday press release and social media post that it would implement new security measures for the rest of the week. The fair began on Tuesday and will be open 5-10 p.m. through Saturday at Northeast Regional Park, 5212 Oakland Gravel Road. ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A ramp in Downtown St. Louis was closed after a semi-truck overturned late morning Thursday. The northbound I-55 ramp leading onto the Poplar Street Bridge towards Illinois was closed after a semi-truck overturned on the road. Police believe it is a two-vehicle crash where the semi-truck hit the median before overturning.
Woman killed, juvenile injured after being hit by car in Phelps County
ST JAMES, Mo. — A pedestrian was killed and another was hospitalized after being struck while crossing the highway in St. James. According to a post from the St. James Police Department, a 31-year-old woman and a juvenile were crossing the roadway at about 9 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of North Jefferson Street and State Highway B, located just off of Interstate 44.
