The American Red Cross Cascades Region opened our first shelter in La Pine on June 25th due to the Darlene 3 Fire and we have not stopped since. Colfax Restaurant Incubator Set To Open With Wild Ember Kitchen
After years of work and planning Colfax’s restaurant incubator is ready to open with its first tenant. Wild Ember Kitchen is set to have its grand opening on August 17th inside the old Washington Federal building on Main Street. The Colfax Downtown Association bought the building and remodeled it into a restaurant space. The organization is using funds from a 2.3 million dollar Washington State Department of Commerce grant to develop the restaurant incubator. That grant was allocated in the fall of 2022.
