KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — A woman has filed an intent to sue the Kootenai County Sheriff. The sheriff is offering a $10,000 reward for help in that potential lawsuit. The sheriff's office put out a statement on Tuesday, offering $10,000 of Sheriff Robert B. Norris' own money to prove he did not make "derogatory statements" about a woman during a campaign event in April.

24-year-old Lewiston man arrested for allegedly raping a 6-year-old
LEWISTON, Idaho – A 24-year-old man from Lewiston was arrested for allegedly raping a 6-year-old child. According to the Lewiston Police Department, detectives were called to a house in Lewiston on the evening of July 23 when a family member of the child walked in and reportedly saw the suspect identified Dakota Hall, 24 allegedly raping the child. Police subsequently interviewed the witness, the child victim and the suspect. Both the child and the witness stated that the man had engaged in lewd conduct.
