New Campground Limits Coming to WA Beginning August 18th
Beginning August 18th, all campgrounds in Washington State will have new limits on how many nights people can stay. The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission recently approved the new limits, as of August 18th, campers can only stay ten consecutive nights in any campground in the state, within a 30-day period. Campers will also only be allowed to stay a total of 90 days per calendar year in all state parks.

That heat will stick around for a few days, and then things will cool off a bit. When they cool off, we get a thunderstorm and then said thunderstorm takes over social media for 24-hours, at least.
Crews Battling new 800 Acre Lightning-Caused Wildfire in Nez Perce County
JULIAETTA - Firefighters are battling a new lightning-caused fire in Nez Perce County, located about 5 miles southwest of Juliaetta and just south of the Latah County line. The fire was sparked at around 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. According to Nez Perce Tribe Fire Management Officer Fire Jeff Handel, at about 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, the fire size was estimated at about 800 acres in size and no level of containment had been achieved.

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The U.S. Forest Service reports that 15 new fire starts have been detected in the past 24 hours in Idaho, with more expected. Strong winds and thunderstorms across eastern Oregon and western Idaho Wednesday further complicated matters for fire managers as resources are already stretched thin. The National Weather Service in Boise reports 2,800 lightning strikes came from the storms on Wednesday, leading Forest Service personnel to believe more fires could soon be detected.
