Bike paths on both sides of Columbia to close for boat races starting July 24
TRI-CITIES, Wash.-Bike paths along the Pasco and Kennewick sides of the Columbia River will be closed for Water Follies starting Wednesday, July 24. The path through Columbia Park on the Kennewick side of the river will be closed from the Blue Bridge to Edison Street from 6 p.m. on July 24 through 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, according to the Tri-City Water Follies.

The City of Airway Heights is asking its voters to provide additional money for the police department. On the Aug. 6 ballot, Airway Heights voters will be asked to support a measure that would increase the city's regular property tax levy by $1 per $1,000 of assessed value.
