September 1, 2024 - SAN JOSE, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) and the Grassland Water District, Grassland Resource Conservation District, and Grassland Fund (Grassland) have reached an agreement that releases Grassland’s potential California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) claims regarding the Authority’s adoption of environmental review documents for the San Jose to Merced portion of the high-speed rail project.

The Muhlenberg volleyball team opened the 2024 season with three matches at the Pacific Coast Classic in California. Despite dropping all three matches, the Mules played some close sets. A man initially thought to have died from a medical emergency may have been beaten by multiple people, Oakland police said Saturday. The man was found about 8:45 a.m. Friday in the 800 block of Webster Street, police said. Officers were notified of an individual down in the street and found a man who was unresponsive, police said. Oakland police investigating death of person physically assaulted by several people
Authorities are looking for several people suspected of physically beating someone to death in Oakland.Police responded to a report of an unresponsive individual on the street around 8:45 a.m. Friday in the 800 block of Webster Street.When officers arrived, they provided medical aid until paramedics arrived.
