Milan awarded $386,448 TAP grant for new sidewalk on Business Highway 5
The Green Hills Regional Planning Commission’s transportation planning division announced that the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has awarded a Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) Grant to the City of Milan, amounting to $386,448. The funds are earmarked for a new sidewalk along Business Highway 5 to enhance pedestrian accessibility and ensure compliance with ADA requirements.
Washington School fire in Kirksville started in second-floor hallway
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — KTVO is learning new information about a Kirksville fire investigation. A small fire broke out at the vacant Washington School around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Fire Investigator Derek Johnson with the Kirksville Fire Department told KTVO Thursday that the fire happened in a second-floor hallway of the old school building.
