Greeneville, TN — With only a few days left in the season the Greeneville Flyboys needed a win tonight over the Kingsport Axmen to clinch the west division in the Appalachian league.

Bottom of the 6th, BJ Peart grounds out to the Axemen’s catcher who will send the ball to first for the out, while Brodie Johnston will come on home. Greeneville cuts the deficit to 5-4. Still in the 6th, the boys will get one the easy way, well not so easy for Brady Francisco as the ball hits him so he takes his base and Dylan Jackson comes home tying the game 5 all

Top of the 7th, Axmen’s Devan Zirwas singles on a ground ball to center field however he would be left stranded on base. Axmen get the win 6-5 in the 9th despite the loss the Flyboys clinched a playoff spot, but have not yet clinched the 1-seed.
