GREENSBORO — The Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating an intentional vehicle fire that occurred on Kibler Road Friday night, the second incident in four days at the location.

A report states that the passenger compartment of a 2011 Kia owned by Linda Bennett was found ablaze by family members just before midnight Friday. It took around 20 minutes for Greensboro Volunteer Fire Company firefighters to control.

No injuries were reported. The fire marshal report indicates around $4,000 in damage to the car and its contents.

It is the second fire in four days at 12640 Kibler Road in Greensboro, coming after an abandoned mobile home had been intentionally set on fire Tuesday, June 25.

The fire marshal’s office had previously reported that mobile home had been abandoned for more than 15 years. There were no injuries from the June 25 fire.

Anyone with information regarding either fire can contact the Upper Eastern Regional Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal at 410-822-7609.
