    Man shot, killed in Greensboro at apartment on West Cornwallis Drive, police say

    GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A man is dead after a fatal shooting in Greensboro on Friday, according to a Greensboro Police Department news release.

    Around 10 a.m., Greensboro police were told someone who had been shot arrived at Greensboro Fire Station 5 on Westover Terrace.

    The victim said he had been shot at an apartment in the 2200 block of West Cornwallis Drive where he said there was another victim.

    The victim who went to the fire station was taken to the hospital for treatment and released.

    The second victim, identified as Christopher Bennet, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have notified next-of-kin.

    Police have no suspect information and ask that anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at (336) 373-1000.
