WNCT.com’s Get in the Game: Cameron Moore

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Cameron Moore spends most of his free time on a basketball court, alongside his father and head coach Shawn Moore.

Moore plays for Warriors Life Elite AAU 15U basketball team and knows what is expected of him as he takes the court for each game.

“Play defense first,” said Moore. “Defense, rebound and make shots when I’m open and provide for my teammates.”

He is focusing on perfecting his dribbling and improving his game. Shawn Moore, head coach of Warriors Life Elite 15U, said his son picked up his work ethic.

“He’s a natural leader on the floor,” Shawn Moore said.

The game came naturally for him as his father has been coaching high school basketball for 13 years. “He has been around it since he was born,” Shawn Moore said. “He sat on the bench with me from day one.”

When Moore isn’t on the basketball court, he is likely playing soccer, but hopes to go to college and basketball.
