Though Florida State and Georgia Tech have already played each other in Dublin, the college football season officially kicks off in Week 1, and the ACC has a loaded slate of games.

Headlining the Week 1 schedule for the ACC is a top-25 heavyweight matchup in Atlanta at the Aflac Kickoff between No. 14 Clemson and No. 1 Georgia at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. While the outcome of this game has nothing to do with league standings for the Tigers , it's an early test for Clemson as it looks to return to the College Football Playoff this season.

Despite Clemson and Georgia being 76.8 miles away from each other, it is the first time since 2021 that both teams are playing each other. The Bulldogs are -13.5 point favorites against the Tigers (as of Tuesday), according to odds from BetMGM.

The other marquee game on the Week 1 docket is Miami renewing an in-state rivalry with Florida at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Saturday. It is the first time both programs are facing each other since 2019, and a rivalry that Florida holds a one-game lead in the all-time series record at 74-73.

ACC newcomers Stanford and Cal will kick off their tenure in the ACC with home games each. The Cardinal will host the Big 12's TCU on Friday in what can be considered the new "ACC After Dark" — paying homage to the ever so famous "Pac-12 After Dark" — as that kickoff is set for 10:30 p.m. ET at Stanford. Meanwhile, the Golden Bears will welcome UC Davis to California Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

Elsewhere, Florida State will have played two ACC games by the end of Week 1 as the Seminoles host Boston College on Labor Day for a 7:30 p.m. ET at Doak S. Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee. The Seminoles are looking to avoid starting 0-2 in ACC play for the third time in the Mike Norvell era. FSU started both of Norvell's first two seasons in 2020 and 2021 at 0-2 in ACC play.
