    UNDER CONSTRUCTION: THS Constructors and MCA lead build of new firearms factory

    Project description: Restoring three historic buildings at the corner of Ellison and Wall streets in the heart of downtown Fountain Inn and transforming them into a modern community space, while preserving the buildings’ history and repurposing as much original material as possible.

    The three-story former flour mill building will house a brewery, a bar area with 15 taps, and seating on the main level. The second floor will be used for additional seating, special events and possibly even a co-working space.


    Prisma Health Centennial Ambulatory Surgery Center

    Project description: This new construction building will be a two-story steel structure with masonry veneer situated in the side of a hill. Functional use of the building will be six new operating rooms with the necessary patient and clinical support functions on the upper level. The lower level will have limited common space for access to the upper level, mechanical support space, and the majority being shell space for future utilization.


    St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church Columbarium & Garden

    Project description: The new 6,000-square-foot Columbarium Garden will be surrounded with masonry seat walls and six prefabricated granite structures, each with 84 dual niches. A cascading water fountain with a garden area on both sides will be displayed in the center, along with a prefabricated granite altar located behind the fountain.

    Project description: The project includes a one-story addition with a new media center, art and music classrooms, and associated support spaces. Non-load-bearing walls in the existing Montessori classrooms are being demolished and replaced with new walls, ceilings, and flooring to create larger classroom spaces. Other upgrades include converting the old media center into a multipurpose gym. Exterior work includes extending the car-rider line drive loop and adding new canopies connecting portions of the building.

    Project description: Under new ownership for the first time in almost 40 years, this building underwent a renovation that tackled a number of areas to rehabilitate and update it. The front porch, previously enclosed in an earlier renovation, has been reopened, creating a more distinct front entry. At the rear, a small addition and relocation of stairs is planned to better connect the two levels while increasing accessibility.


    Riverbanks Zoo Komodo Dragon Exhibit

    Project description: Design and construction for an 11,058-square-foot, eight-classroom, two-story addition. Additions will also be provided at the second-floor existing facility to provide an access corridor and group restrooms for the existing Carolina Park Elementary School. Work includes sitework, masonry, metal studs, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, acoustical ceilings, doors and hardware, and other interior items associated with the school.

    Project description: The project scope is to replace the aging and corroding electrical infrastructure for Whirlin’ Waters, Splash Zone and Splash Island, including distribution panelboards, low-voltage transformers, motor controllers for pumps, above-grade metallic conduit and equipment disconnects. The existing wave controller for the wave pool at Whirlin’ Waters will also be replaced as part of this work.

    Project description: This project is an upfit/renovation of an existing building.     Christ Our King Catholic Church Renovation and Addition

    Project description: This project has been designed with an aesthetic meant to be warm, welcoming and conducive to prayer. Preservation of the 2,000-pipe Holtkamp pipe organ, increased seating capacity, additional stained-glass windows, a new narthex, a reconciliation room, and many additional changes to serve the parish for years to come. There also will be a 1,000-square-foot building addition off the rear of the nave containing a new chapel and sacristy.
