ANDERSON CO., S.C. (WSPA) – Jennifer Williams, member of the board of directors for Wildlife Rehab Group of Greenville, was awoken by a neighbor to her backyard in disarray, early Friday morning.
The crash happened at 1:25 a.m., at Bryant Road and the intersection of Whitten Road. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Department attempted a traffic stop, but the suspect, who state officials identify as Jeremiah Holdbrooks, managed to flee.
According to South Carolina State Highway Patrol, after eluding ACSO deputies, Holdbrooks later ran a stop sign before crashing into William’s backyard and was then apprehended by police. The suspect had methamphetamines found on their person.
Williams said she has tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of property damage including a totaled carport, pool and lawn mower.
“It actually landed right here up against the porch and the awning was rested against the top of it,” said Williams.

She also had to break a family dog she was dog-sitting, out of a crushed kennel.
“He was kind of trapped in a back corner because the fence kind of collapsed into the backsides of each other, so he was in like the little triangle of each fence,” said Williams.
Her own dog named Fury, a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois, managed to escape.

Williams said she has been training Fury, a rescue dog, due to his shyness and high anxiety resulting from formerly being in a household that mistreated him and neglected him. WIlliams said when she first met him, he was all “bones”.
“I’m just really concerned so I know how afraid he must be. It’s very traumatizing for him, I’m sure,” said Williams.

She is asking the public to help her locate him. The dog does not have a collar on him and if spotted, you are asked to contact the Wildlife Rehab Group of South Carolina at (864)-233-0339.
“I have nowhere to really look,” said Williams. “I’ve got a female Malinois that stays inside, so I’ve walked her around trying to see if he’ll come out because he loves her. I’ve made posts on Facebook and the Nextdoor app and [my co-workers] are all sharing it and getting the word out. So hopefully he’ll be seen or hopefully he’ll maybe come home.”
The dog was last seen at Williams’ home, on Seigler Road in Pelzer.
Williams said the dog is not aggressive but is shy and may attempt to flee or bark.
