DNA testing solves 1963 Neenah gas station murder, officials say
OSHKOSH (WLUK) – DNA testing has solved the 1963 murder of Wayne Pratt, but full details aren’t being released yet. Appleton man sentenced to 15 years for trafficking nearly 1 million fentanyl-laced pills
(WLUK) -- An Appleton man convicted of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl was sentenced Monday to 15 years in federal prison. Randy Mack, 36, was arrested after agents intercepted a UPS package in Dec. 2022 with approximately 56,000 fake Percocet pills containing fentanyl. The package was intended for Mack.
Winnebago County sheriff finds no fault in ATV crash that killed two girls
OSHKOSH (WLUK) – There is no fault by the striking vehicle in a fatal traffic crash which killed two Oshkosh girls, Winnebago County Sheriff John Matz said. Mesa Fredenhagen, 11, and Kennedi Harris, 7, were killed in the June 11 crash at Bonnie View Road near Highway 44. A vehicle struck the ATV the girls were on.
Wrightstown Fire Department rescue kayakers in distress on the Fox River
WRIGHTSTOWN, Wis. (WBAY) - First responders were dispatched to the Fox River in Wrightstown Saturday for three kayakers in distress due to the current of the river. It happened at approximately 5:20 p.m. with Wrightstown Fire Department, Greenleaf Volunteer Fire Department, and County Rescue responded. When the Greenleaf Fire chief arrived, the three kayakers were found safe on the shoreline. They were given a car ride back to the boat launch.
