Review: SHELBY OAKS is a Deeply Emotional and Horrifying Mystery
I am a sucker for found footage, and though Shelby Oaks isn’t exactly that, it does incorporate the concept into its narrative in a way that is unique and satisfying. It’s a horror film that is told largely through a traditional narrative structure, but uses the disappearance of a group of content creators and the final footage that they shot to create the basis for a mystery that takes the audience through a crazy web of both real life and supernatural horrors.

Ashland Area Chorus to begin 2024-25 season on Aug. 26
ASHLAND – The Ashland Area Chorus, a community-based mixed choir of 40 to 50 singers, will begin its 2024-25 season Monday, Aug. 26. The AAC is still welcoming new members. Weekly rehearsals for the chorus will be held on Monday nights from 7 to 8:30 p.m., in room 242 of Ashland University’s Center for the Arts.

Ohio State Mansfield announces 2024-25 theatre season
MANSFIELD — The Ohio State University at Mansfield’s theatre season starts with a free outdoor event in September to celebrate the 250th birthday of Johnny Appleseed. After that opening, the mainstage shows will include a romantic comedy in October, a provocative social issues drama in November, and one of the most beloved plays of all time in March.
