    Where good news shines

There's a young man from Windsor who knows what he wants in life.

Here's a hunch Christian H. will make it happen.

Christian, who is 4, will "ring the bell" as a cancer survivor Sunday. As part of Make-A-Wish Colorado, the wish kid was given the opportunity to invite his favorite Denver sports mascot to the ceremony from Noon-1 p.m. Sunday at Marjorie Park in Greenwood Village.

Instead of inviting one, Christian invited all of his buddies: Dinger, Rocky, Miles, Bernie, Wooly, RapidMan and Slapshot. Dream big, kid.

During Christian's celebration, the mascots will be joined by his medical team and local firefighters and police to ring the bell, signifying the end of his cancer treatments.

("Colorado Sunshine" celebrates the good news in sports. Suggestions are encouraged through sports editor Paul Klee at paul.klee@gazette.com.)
