Over the summer a number of Mexican restaurants and variant taco stands have closed up shop. With the absence of snowbirds and college students, not to mention the blazing triple-digit heat keeping everyone inside, it’s a difficult time of year for local restaurants. However, the recent closure spree has left real estate available for new restaurants to move in. So, if you are upset over any of the Mexican restaurants shutting down in Scottsdale, there’s good news, because a new Mexican taco restaurant has opened.

Located at 10101 East Bell Road (Suite 115) in Scottsdale, Parachos Tacos Y Tragos is a bit different from your run-of-the-mill taco stand. It offers updated, slightly higher-brow tacos, tortas, and other goodies for you to indulge in. The restaurant also has a fully complimented cocktail menu with some unique take on classics. After all, you’re not going to find a spicy, yet refreshing watermelon margarita at just any restaurant. Complete with fresh watermelon topped off with Tajin seasoning, there’s a nice clean taste that also brings a new spin on the classic beverage.

The menu features quality ingredients to deliver a more satisfying meal. Beef used in the tacos and tortas, for example, is all grass-fed. There’s a sizeable difference in meat quality when it comes to grass-fed and cheaper grain alternatives. Whether you can taste the difference with the added ingredients will be up for you to try and discover on your own.

The full menu is not yet available online, and the website looks to be more of a placeholder and has yet to be updated with Parachos Tacos Y Tragos actual menu. So, while you are not able to look over everything the restaurant has to offer, you can check out images of some of what the restaurant has to offer on its Instagram page.

Based on the provided visuals, you will also be able to enjoy Mexican-style ceviche (shrimp-based), several soft and hard shell taco options, a number of refreshing cocktails, all in a warm, comfortable environment.

The initial reviews on platforms like Yelp are also glowing. While it just recently opened, it does currently have a 5-star rating.

If you are hungry and want to check out the new restaurant, Parachos Tacos Y Tragos is open Monday through Friday from 4 PM until 9 PM, and on Saturday from 2 PM until 9 PM. It is closed on Sunday.
