There’s nothing like some good old-fashioned comfort food. Every region of the world has some kind of comfort food. A meal that just makes you feel good about yourself, even if the feeling only lasts as long as you eat it. But what happens if you and your friends are craving such foods, but each of you has a different idea of what comfort food is? Instead of driving around town, picking up meals from various restaurants (or spending a week’s wage on Uber Eats delivery fees), you might want to check out a new Phoenix-area restaurant, that specializes in comfort food from around the world.

Tesota recently opened at 300 West Camelback Road in Phoenix with a goal of providing customers with an array of comfort food options. Whether that means you’re hungry for a pizza or a salad, there’s something on the menu for you.

The restaurant is locally owned and, as its website puts it, “chef-driven.” It isn’t a restaurant that was cobbled together in order to meet some kind of test audience or what market research said would be the next big thing in restaurants. It was created for a love of food and for the love of feeling good while eating. It’s also what helps make the restaurant unique.

The menu is unique in that it is broken down into a number of different categories, making it easier to navigate than the simple “Appetizers” and “Antrees” menus. You can search for salads, sandwiches, pizzas, noodles, and other goodies.

The Starters portion of the menu begins with various kinds of bread and spread (including edamame guacamole, hummus, white bean relish, and others), baked brie, dumplings, shrimp, and wings. The “Between Bread” section includes an A5 Wagyu patty cheeseburger, cold cut, chori-pan (classic South American sandwich with chorizo and chimichurri), Crispy Fish Katshu, and The Medit-Arean (falafel, yogurt masala, pickled slaw, and wood-fired bread).

If you want a pizza, the options include Summer White, Margherita, Chorizo, Mushroom, and Salumi (salumi, chorizo, saba, rosemary, and Calabrian chili). Noodles dishes, small plates (including Japanese eggplant, waffle fries, grilled asparagus, and mac and cheese are available), and several salads, plus prime rib and wild-caught salmon can also be found on the menu.

Want to check out the new Phoenix restaurant? It is open Monday through Thursday from 11 AM until 9 PM, on Friday and Saturday from 11 AM until 10 PM, and on Sunday from 11 AM until 9 PM.
