You need to have full confidence in your product when running a restaurant. It is more than just creating something tasty while having a solid location. Without confidence, a business might pull up shop before it has a chance to develop a client base. The owners of one metro Phoenix restaurant are bursting with confidence that Valley residents will continue to enjoy their food to the point they are opening a second location almost two years after initially launching. So, whether it is capitalizing when the iron’s hot, or it’s doubling down on a product they believe in, it’s now twice as easy to stop by Taiwan Mama.

Taiwan Mama is an authentic  Taiwanese restaurant, opened by, you guessed it, a Taiwanese mom who loves to share her joy of food and cooking with the community. Serving everything from classic pineapple bread to popcorn chicken and bubble tea, the restaurant offers a flavorful introduction to Taiwanese culture and cuisine. While it isn’t difficult to go outside and find a Chinese, Japanese, or Thai restaurant around the Valley, Taiwanese is far more difficult to track down. With its very own spice and flavor profile, it is well worth exploring, if you haven’t already.

Originally, Taiwan Mama started out in the Highland Food Hub. However, after generating a strong following, Kate, the founder of Taiwan Mama went on to open its own location in Tempe at 725 South Rural Road (Suite 107). Now, the all-new location in Phoenix has opened and is located at 822 Union Hills Drive (Suite D 16).

The lunch and dinner menu includes favorites such as braised pork bento, potato stew with pork bento, braised pork with belly bento, and braised pork belly and popcorn chicken bento. If you’re in the mood for stir-fry, the menu includes chicken cutlet, popcorn chicken, stir-fried broccoli, tomato and egg stir-fry, stir-fried pork belly with dried tofu, stir-fried beef with scallions, black pepper beef, and shrimp with scrambled eggs.

You will also find an impressive drink menu at Taiwan Mama. Milk teas include Thai milk tea, taro milk tea, Earl Grey black milk tea, and strawberry milk tea, while fruit teas include mango lychee green tea, peach green tea, passion fruit green tea, and peach oolong tea.

The all-new restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 AM until 9 PM, and on Friday and Saturday from 11 AM until 9:30 PM.
